Four people have been charged in connection with the discovery of two cannabis farms worth in excess of £1million in Bolton.
Mariusz Zielinski, 29, Mahmood Safazi, 48, Mohammad Tork, 58, and Somsri Taveesab, 45, all of no fixed abode, have been charged with production of cannabis.
They were remanded in custody and appeared at Bolton Magistrates court today.
Officers were alerted to a cannabis farm at a large mill on Lever Street, Great Lever shortly after 10am on Tuesday May 12, where they found around 2,000 cannabis plants in various stages of growth, along with a large quantity of cannabis that had been harvested and made ready for sale.
A further search of the area led officers to discover a second cannabis farm in a nearby building containing approximately 800 cannabis plants.
The total stock value is estimated to be in excess of £1.1 million.
