As millions of children made a break for the school gates last week, parents across Manchester have been left to think of ways of keep their little ones eggcited over the Easter weekend.

Description: For most children (and some big kids too) chocolate is what Easter is all about and this weekend the Lowry Outlet is offering an escape into chocaholic’s heaven.
The four-day event features an interactive Chocolate Factory experience complete with creative effects, stage shows and characters inspired by Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas.
And the fun continues outside with a 50ft traditional helter skelter outside the centre.
For the grownups, a collection of artisan markets on the plaza will offer a wide range of confectionary as well as food and drink.

Event: Manchester Easter Fun fair at Platt Fields Park
Date/Time: Saturday March 28 – Sunday April 19, 12pm – 8pm
Description: Thrill-seekers need look no further than the Manchester Fun Fair for their adrenaline rush.
The annual event at Platt Field Park returns and features over 20 traditional fairground rides along with some entertainment for kids.
The biggest draw promises to be the Mach 1 Bomber which travels at over 40 miles an hour and spins riders upside down at a height of 40 metres for a white-knuckle ride.
