Pop star Lady Gaga was left feeling a more red-faced than Pokerface-d last night when she opened her London show with ‘Hello Manchester!’.
The five-time Grammy Awards winner was playing her first of three shows at the 02 arena, but it seemed she just couldn’t get Manchester off her mind.
Mancunians reacted with delight at Gaga’s mishap on social media, although London crowds were quick to forget the error and went crazy for the Paparazzi star’s Art Rave ball.

Earlier this week Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, swooped in on the Manchester Northern Quarter for a spot of shopping, ahead of her performance at the Phones 4u Arena.
Fans excitedly reacted when the 28-year-old dropped by Afflecks Palace, reportedly spending around £8,000 on bits and pieces.
She arrived at the quirky indoor market, on Church Street, with her dog and bodyguard, before staff closed the store for her to enjoy private shopping time.

Lady Gaga also hit the headlines in Manchester when a fan proposed to his boyfriend live on stage at the Phones4u arena.

“I just want to do something special for you. I’m not sure Shaun, but I think that Jay might have something to ask you.”
The man then got down on one knee and popped the question, after an acceptance, a kiss and a hug, the Grammy award winning singer serenaded the love birds with Born this way, declaring ‘love conquers all things’ to adoring fans.
