They say in English it never rains but it pours and Swedish charity cycling hero Linus Lind has opened the floodgates for contributions to his cause.
With an initial target of 10,000 Swedish krona (around £870) for his 1,600-mile journey from Uppsala to Manchester in aid of Doctors Without Borders, the FC United of Manchester fan is approaching 20,000 krona.
Linus is now in his sixth country having passed through Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium… though the 31-year-old is by no means tiring.

He posted on his blog: “First I just have to say thank you for all the great donations that have poured in upon my arrival to England.
“I wanted to reach 15,000 SEK before entering England and it happened and more.”
Linus will actually arrive in Moston on Thursday evening and many FC United fans are expected to greet him when he arrives.
This will be followed by a ceremonial bike ride this coming Saturday where Linus and many other FC fans will ride from Broadhurst Park to Bower Fold in Stalybridge to watch their side play Ramsbottom United in the Northern Premier League.
Doctors Without Borders is a humanitarian-aid NGO in over 60 countries with more than 20,000 medical (and other) volunteers that work in war-torn regions and developing countries facing endemic diseases.
