A flasher who chased young girls with his pants around his ankles has sparked a manhunt as the attack is thought to be the same man who has exposed himself multiple times across Tameside.
In the latest incident, a man with his trousers pulled down advanced towards two girls while shouting and performing a sex act on himself.
The attack occurred on July 1 at around 8.45am, on Arundel Street in Asthon-under-Lyne.
It is believed he is responsible for a similar crime which occurred last month around the same area on Queens Road, where a man menacingly followed his victims while masturbating.
Detective Sergeant Zoe Stapleton said: “This man may be responsible for similar incidents over the last few months.
“We have increased police patrols in the area to offer reassurance to the community and I would ask anyone who may have any concerns as to what has happened to speak to their local officer.”
A similar incident took place at 8pm on June 10 on Arundel Street, when two 16-year-olds heard a loud and disturbing grunting noise on the other side of the road.
On turning around they saw a man leering at them with his hands shoved down the front of his trousers.
As the distressed girls walked down the ginnel leading to Waterloo Gardens the man whistled at them.
It was at this point they realised the pervert was chasing after them with his trousers around his ankles performing a sex act on himself.
The man in question is described as male, around 5ft 8in tall, aged around 40 to 50 years old, with a medium build and grey medium-length hair with a bald patch.
He was said to be wearing a dark grey t-shirt and washed out blue jeans during the incident this week, and a blue long-sleeved top with white stripes and dark jeans during the incident on June 10.
Detective Stapleton said: “It is important to emphasise that these are distressing offences for the victims and although no physical contact is made it is important we catch the person responsible and he is held to account for his actions.
“If you have any information that can help us identify who is responsible or if you have been a victim of this man, I would ask you to contact police as soon as possible.”
