Manchester boxer Tyson Fury claimed ‘this motherfucker is going to sleep’ before he stormed out of today’s press conference ahead of his heavyweight rematch with Dereck Chisora.
Fury lived up to his name with an x-rated rant before flipping the table over (seen in the video below at 5:20 minutes) – showering his trainer and father Peter Fury, promoter Frank Warren and Chisora in water – and making his exit.
But it is Chisora who will be looking to turn the tables at Manchester’s Phones4u Arena in the July 26 ‘Fight for the Right’ final eliminator clash after Fury won their first encounter on points in 2011, inflicting a first defeat on Chisora in the process.
With the WBO International and European belts up for grabs, as well as the vacant British belt, there is plenty at stake.
And Fury showed he cannot wait for his summer date with destiny and the true prize of a shot at Wladimir Klitschko’s WBC Heavyweight title.
In his brief appearance, Fury said: “I’m Tyson Fury. I’m the best heavyweight on the planet. This idiot is getting knocked spark out and I’m sick to death of it.
“This motherfucker is going to sleep.”
Fury had appeared relaxed as he waited for Chisora, flanked by his trainer Don Charles, to arrive at the press conference before his dramatic exit stunned the room.

But the 25-year-old from Wythenshawe, who has become used to waiting for fighters after a frustrating year that saw David Haye twice postpone their eagerly-anticipated battle, seemed to soon run out of patience.
By contrast, Chisora, who has taken anger management classes since his infamous press conference brawl with Haye in 2012, was coolness personified and said: “What can you say about that?
“It’s a good thing there was no red wine (on the table) because my trousers are soaking.”
Despite the duo’s recent one-sided war of words – Fury had referred to his opponent as a “bum” and a “cab driver fighter” in the past – Chisora played down a feud between the pair.
“There is nothing going on,” Chisora said.
“Just one white guy and one black guy out to knock each other’s head off.
“I’m not going to badmouth him when he’s not here. I don’t stab people in the back”
Despite his newfound cool persona, the fighter in Chisora, 30, could not resist replying to Fury’s claim that he will knock out the London scrapper ‘in the fifth’.
“I’ll do him in the first round,” was Chisora’s instant response.
While both boxers last fought in February, on the same card in London with Fury knocking out Joey Abell and Chisora taking a points win over Kevin Johnson, there have been rumours that Fury will combat his ring rustiness with a behind-closed-doors fight in April.
After only two fights in 15 months, Fury is set to face Carlos Takam of Cameroon in a full-on 12-round sparring session behind closed doors.
Chisora questioned why the fight was not in view of fight fans and said: “Why does he want it behind close doors?
“He’s an athlete. He should be fighting in front of the people.
But trainer Peter Fury insisted he was open to a public bout and said: “If you want it we’ll have it on the TV.”
In Tyson’s absence, Fury continued to suggest his man wary of Chisora’s threat but relishing a return to the ring: “Tyson’s already on the weight so we are backing him off.
“He’s not boxing at the minute. He’s doing cardio.
“Derek is a great fighter. He is a very strong threat and he’s not being taken lightly.”
Chisora also demonstrated he is ready for a face-off in four months and said: “I’m motivated. You can see that from the last year. We have a game plan.”
Six foot eight inch Fury is defending an unbeaten record with 22 wins and 16 knockouts while Chisora has suffered four defeats in his 24 fights, chalking up 13 knockouts.
