New Year, new you? How about new best friend? If you have room in your heart, and your home, MM has the perfect addition.
Meet Todd, a gorgeous three-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier who is looking for a new permanent home that can lavish all the love and attention on him that he desires.
As reluctant as the staff at Rochdale Dog Rescue are to see him go they are keen for the quiet and well-mannered pup to be snapped up by a new and loving owner.
Rescue assistant Jane Nugent explained that he is a sociable chap with a soft spot for tummy rubs and meeting new people.
She said: “Todd knows all his basic commands and just smiles all the time, that is when he manages to stay awake,”
“Only the best homes should apply for Todd, they will be his world and he must be theirs.
“I know just how much fun, joy and happiness he would bring to a home.”
Brindle in colour and small in size Todd is very quiet for his breed and is renowned for his skill at meeting and greeting.
The loveable pooch has become a real favourite in the rescue centre and is now ready to be the apple of a special family’s eye.
“He is extremely person-friendly,” explained Ms Nugent.
“He does not make one single noise all day, no barking or growling, which is unusual for his breed.”
But don’t let that fool you. He may be quiet however like any young dog he has boundless energy and loves going for walks.
Ms Nugent laughed: “He can be a bit giddy when he’s out and about on walks but he’s not a very strong boy and is very good on the lead.”
