Recognised as one of the bestselling punk rock bands of all time having sold an impressive five million albums worldwide, punk rock veterans Bad Religion are due to hit The Ritz, Manchester for their UK leg of their True North tour.
With more than 30 years’ experience under their belt, the Californian quartet is promoting their 16th album True North and will be returning to do just that in Manchester on August 19.
Arguably their best album produced since Stranger Than Fiction, True North has received unprecedented reviews on both sides of the Atlantic and sees the band subtly adapt their style to sustain their longevity.
Bad Religion’s blend of frantic rhythms and vocal harmonies combined with profound lyrics, which confront social responsibility, religion or politics, have been cited as influencing a number of successful modern punk bands.
Frontman Greg Graffin has been the only consistent member of the band over the years, but the band currently has three out of four of the original members: Greg Graffin, Brett Gurewitz and Jay Bentley.
Bad Religion will be in the UK until the middle of August before continuing on their European tour:
Manchester, The Ritz: August 19
London, Koko: August 20
