GIVEAWAY: Ten pairs of tickets to Celebrities on Ice weekend shows @ EventCity, Manchester

By Mancunian Matters staff

Celebrity ice skating is a big deal these days.

It began with celebrity ballroom dancing, and, when that wasn’t enough, celebrity dancing moved on to frozen water.

All the stars are at it, meaning each year the competition becomes more and more fierce and you can witness things you didn’t think possible – like Welsh rugby legend Gareth Thomas performing a routine immediately after X Factor’s Chico.

Our competition offers ten pairs of tickets, worth £22.50 each, to see Celebrities on Ice at EventCity, Manchester.

All you have to do to enter is follow us on Twitter and email us your name and contact details here.

This year, the genial national treasure Christopher Biggins will be hosting the glamorous event, which features a host of international ice stars as well as the celebs.

Other famous faces set to take part include Britain’s greatest-ever female gymnast Beth Tweddle, former rugby star Kyran Bracken, Eastenders’ Anthony Moon actor Matt Lapinskas and Dancing on Ice success Dan Whiston.

There will also be live music and singing, brand new choreography and death-defying acrobats.

Put all that in the second-largest event space outside of London and you’re set for a sure-fire hit.

With five shows over the weekend, we’re offering two pairs of tickets to each show. There is a Friday evening show starting at 8pm, a Saturday matinee show at 2.30pm and another at 8pm. We’re also giving away tickets to Sunday’s matinee and evening shows.

Let us know in your email which day you would prefer to attend.

To win a pair of tickets to Celebrities on Ice @ EventCity, Phoenix Way, Urmston, Manchester M41 7TB, follow us on Twitter and email us your name and contact details and we will announce the winner on Thursday May 16 at 5.30pm.
