Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra is focused on adding more silverware to his Old Trafford collection with the Capital One Cup first in his sights.
United take on Norwich in the fourth round on Tuesday at Old Trafford having knocked out fierce rivals Liverpool in the last round.
The League Cup was the first trophy Evra won at United and is hopeful of winning more in a United shirt.
“I remember that moment well and that first trophy is always so important for you as a player,” Evra told the club’s website.
“From that day you start to be a winner. You want to win more. You are hungry for more.
“It’s an important trophy for us and a brilliant competition to play in. Manchester United always wants to win. Everyone has that winning mentality at the club and it’s our aim to get the victory on Tuesday.”
United have struggled at the start of this season under new manager David Moyes and the team experienced the dissatisfaction of the home crowd on Saturday.
In particular, Nani bore the brunt of the boos from the Old Trafford support, but Moyes has offered support for his winger.
“He is a regular and captain for Portugal so he is very talented,” Moyes told SkySports.
“There were one or two decisions he could have made better, but he got us the first goal with a lovely ball.”
Moyes has spoken of the competition he has in his squad in the wide areas of the pitch.
One player who could feature against Norwich is winger Wilfried Zaha, who hasn’t been seen in the first team since the Community Shield in August.
Zaha has been given limited opportunities by Moyes this season, leading to speculation of a loan move, something the manager has not ruled out.
“We have big competition and we have to try and make sure he gets some playing time,” said Moyes on the club’s website.
“Unfortunately we haven’t done that with Wilf and if it’s still the case in January we would look at it.”
United last won the League Cup in 2009/10 when they beat Aston Villa in the final.
The Red Devils exited the competition at the fourth round last season with a 5-4 extra time defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
