UFC middleweight marvel Michael Bisping dropped into Manchester yesterday ahead of Fight Night 30 to give away free tickets to anyone lucky enough to find him.
The Clitheroe-born fighter, who began his UFC career on The Ultimate Fighter in 2006 as a light heavyweight, tweeted to his followers that he would be giving out free tickets for tomorrow’s eagerly-anticipated card at Manchester’s Phones4u Arena.
Hundreds of fans rushed to Piccadilly gardens for a chance to get their hands on the highly prized tickets as part of #HuntforUFC with Bisping sticking around to talk to his fans.
Bisping was forced to pull out against The Filipino Wrecking Machine Mark Munoz after sustaining an eye injury during training and was replaced by Brazilian Lyoto Machida.
Speaking to The MMA Hour on September 23, Bisping said: “I trained so hard for this fight. And not only that, it’s hard for the people of Manchester and the people of the UK to part ways with their hard-earned money to buy a ticket, so I apologize to all the fans and everybody who bought a ticket.”

MM’s Kenny Lomas got the chance to speak briefly with the legend who hinted at a KO victory for Machida.
“I’ve been eyeing up and following the fight and I think Machida will win it comfortably by KO,” Bisping revealed.
Bisping is hoping to fight the winner after his recovery but is still disappointed at missing out of fighting for his country.
He said: “I’m out for six months and I’m devastated I can’t fight on Saturday but it is what it is. My eye is ok at least.”
