Keith Hill has committed his future as manager of Rochdale after signing a three-year contract with the League Two club.
It had been reported that talks with Hill were going well yesterday and he was meeting with chairman Chris Dunphy to finalise everything.
He finally put pen to paper this morning, meaning he will remain at the club until 2016, and Dunphy is delighted Hill has lengthened his stay.
“It is fair to say that you don’t realise what you’ve got until it is gone and that is certainly the case with Keith,” he told the club website.
“In the period of time that he has been back at the club we have all seen a change in the way that the team plays football and Keith’s hard work and commitment is now bearing fruit with positive results on the pitch.
“We’re all starting to watch Rochdale with a smile on our faces.”
Since Hill replaced John Coleman for his second spell, his side have taken 22 points from 16 games.
During his first spell at Spotland, he led Dale to into League One and then to ninth place the following season – the joint-highest finish in the club’s history.
