A teenager was subjected to a terrifying sexual assault by a stalker as she walked her dog in Stretford on Monday night.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm when a 16-year-old girl was walking along Moss Vale Road when she noticed a man walking behind her.
The man then tried to strike up a conversation with the girl but his comments quickly became offensive and inappropriate. The girl then turned onto Barton Road where she was touched inappropriately.
The girl then shouted at him, asking him to go away but the man then exposed himself and continued his comments however the girl told him to go away again and he fled.
Detective Constable Andrew Warren said: “The victim did not suffer any physically injury however she is badly shaken up.
“We are working hard to identify the offender since this happened. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or knows who is responsible to call the police.
“Perhaps you have overheard someone talking or boasting about this incident, if so please contact us in complete confidence.”
The offender is described as being about 6ft 2in tall, in his early 20s and spoke with a local accent. He had a medium, muscular build, dark hair and stubble and was wearing a black hooded top.
