Two men arrested after drugs stash worth £2.5million seized from Manchester industrial estate

Two Manchester men were arrested after a drugs stash worth £2.5million was seized by police at an industrial estate in Monsall, Manchester, last Friday.

Blaine McKenna, 25, of Farmway, Middleton was charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug and two counts of conspiracy to supply a class B drug. 

David Warrender, 29, of Alkrington Hall Road, Middleton was charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug. 

Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Group detained a man after amphetamine was found in a car near to an address at the Wilson Park Industrial Estate. 

A search of the address later uncovered drugs including amphetamine, cannabis, cocaine and paraphernalia, with a total value believed to be around £2.5million. 

Later that day five men were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply offences. 

Warrender and McKenna are next due before Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square on September 7 and four other men were bailed pending further enquiries.
