A man is said to have laughed after sexually assaulting a teenager in Manchester.
Between 4am and 4.30am on Saturday July 13, two 19-year-old girls were walking along Whitby Road in Ladybarn when a man walked past them, and then turned back around and walked towards them.
One of the girls was sexually assaulted by the attacker, who laughed as he walked off towards Kingswood Park.
Detective Sergeant Gareth Davies, said: “Two women were making their way home following a night out when the offender has approached and sexually assaulted one of them without warning.
“The fact he acted so blatantly and in plain view of the other and also laughed as he walked off proves that he has no regard for the victim and is not bothered in the slightest about what he has done.”
The offender is described as white, between 5ft 6in and 6ft tall, of medium build, with a shaven head and in his late 20s or early 30s.
DS Davies added: “If anyone thinks they know the person responsible please call us.
“I also want local residents to be aware of this incident and to take extra precautions if out and about late at night or in the early hours of the morning.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 0161 856 4423, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
