Wythenshawe man, 33, stabbed by ‘baby-faced’ attacker on way home from pub

A 33-year-old Wythenshawe man was stabbed by a ‘baby-faced’ attacker on his way home after a night out last weekend.

The victim left Firbank pub and walked along Tuffley Road at about 2am when he was approached by a man who launched towards him stabbing him in the arm.

The man was rushed to hospital and is said to be making a full recovery after surgery.

Detective Constable Catherine Campbell, from Wythenshawe police, said: “This was an unprovoked attack.”

The offender is described as white, in his late teens to early twenties with a pasty ‘baby looking’ face.

He is of slim build and approximately 5’7in to 5’9in tall.

Detective Constable Catherine Campbell said: “There were people leaving the pub at a similar time who may have witnessed the incident, if you have any information about the attack I would urge you to contact police.”
