A man was left ‘shaken and distressed’ after being threatened at knifepoint during a robbery at a fast-food shop in Salford.
The 24-year-old Subway employee was confronted by a man brandishing a knife and demanding cash from the till at the shop on Chorley Road, Swinton.
The victim handed over the cash and the robber escaped down the road towards St Peter’s Church.
The incident, which happened at 7.30pm on June 24, left the victim distressed although physically unharmed.
Detective Constable Steven Robinson, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the offender hanging around the store before the robbery or fleeing afterwards.
“This man ran across a busy road when he left, so motorists may remember seeing him.
“Perhaps you have seen someone who, without any reasonable explanation, suddenly seems to be flush with cash?
“If so, or you have any inkling as to who the offender might be please call me so we can act on your information before he targets someone else.”
He is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, of slim build and was wearing a balaclava, a black waterproof jacket, blue jeans and black trainers.
The jacket had a matt finish, had the hood up and also had a gold zip.
