A three-day fashion flashmob is coming to Manchester Arndale this weekend to showcase the latest Spring/Summer offerings on the high street.
More than 1,000 pieces of new fashion from the likes of American Apparel, Topshop and River Island will be modelled by professional dancers flashmob-style as they perform in four locations dotted around the centre.
Directly after each five-minute performance, a limited number of envelopes will be distributed to watching customers giving them the chance to win a prize in store.
David Allinson, Centre Director, said: “We wanted to do something a bit different instead of a usual fashion catwalk show and felt the immediacy of the flashmob fashion event was in keeping with our customers’ interests and lifestyles.
“Everyone is so busy these days we thought it was the perfect way to showcase fashion on the move.”
Prizes up for grabs include £50 gift cards, handbags, sunglasses and clothing items from the new SS13 ranges.
The event will feature more than 50 separate pop-up fashion shows from a plethora of Manchester Arndale retailers across three days, from Friday April 12 to Sunday April 14.
The prize draws will take place at different retailers throughout Manchester Arndale and selected flash sale discounts will also apply in some stores for one hour after the performance.
One of the prime locations to view the fashion flashmobs will be on a revolving stage in Exchange Court within the shopping centre.
The latest hair and new spring make-up ranges will also be available to view and try out at the pop-up salon in Halle Square with staff on hand to offer styling tips and mini-makeovers from The Fragrance Shop, Superdry make-up, No.7, Bumble and Bumble, Lush cosmetics, Hotel Chocolat luxury bodycare range and The Body Shop.
For curvier women, style advice pods will be located on the mall and staff from Simply Be and Evans will be providing styling tips on how to work the latest SS13 trends.
