Joe Biden $1.2 trillion spending package: The Senate passed the budget in a 72-24 vote. The funding prevented a partial government shutdown. It included public infrastructure investments for bridges, airports, and waterways.
Ireland win the Six Nations: Ireland won the Six Nations for a consecutive time, marking the third time they had won back-to-back championships in their history. England finished third in the competition in somewhat of an optimistic mood following a win against Ireland and a close 33-31 loss to France in Paris.
Oscars: Oppenheimer won Best Picture at the 96th Oscars in Los Angeles, while leading actor Cillian Murphy was named best actor. Meanwhile Ukraine war film 20 Days in Mariupol won best documentary.
Man Utd beat Liverpool in the FA Cup: Jurgen Klopp’s quadruple farewell tour came to a dramatic end at Old Trafford as they crashed out of the FA Cup. Amad’s 120th minute winner in front of the Stretford End was the start of Liverpool’s end of season collapse.
