What family friendly events are going on in Manchester this spooky season?

For some the beginning of October means the countdown to Halloween and also the countdown to half term.

Manchester is more than ready for this spooky season with a list of Halloween events  available to experience this month to keep families busy and in the spooky spirit.

The Halloween Trail at the Trafford Centre

The trail features over 100,000 lights and is filled with many installations.

As well as this the trail will also host some activities such as pumpkin carving, roasting marshmallows, a skeleton petting zoo and a Skeleton disco.

Pop-up indoor pumpkin patch at the Trafford Centre

On 23 and 24 October you can go pumpkin picking while staying warm as the Trafford Centre will host a pop-up pumpkin patch on the Orient main stage.

To find the pumpkin patch children can follow a map which will lead them to different spooky characters and eventually to the pumpkin patch – where you can pick your own pumpkin to take home.

The price of the map and the pumpkin is a suggested £2 donation per child and all proceeds will go to  FareShare Greater Manchester the region’s largest food redistribution charity. More info here.

Halloween Havoc at Trafford Palazzo

From 21 October to 1 November Trafford Palazzo will launch its Halloween Havoc events just in time for half term.

This will include an array of activities including a scavengers hunt where you have to find all the witches items to get a prize.

They are also offering face painting stations and slime making workshops. More info here.

RHS Gardens in October half term

From 19 October to 3 November the RHS is offering activities for families to take part in from 10am to 2pm every day.

These activities include arts and crafts, storytelling and a zombie disco. More info here.

Chaos Karts ‘track o terror’

For those searching for a unique way to spend Halloween night, at 7pm Chaos Karts have a change to their typical setup and and are offering thrill-seekers a night of horror using their state-of-the-art  projections.
