Prada’s £1,380 skirt – half the material – but certainly not half price.

Influencer Tamara Kalinic stunned Tiktokers with her risqué skirt at Milan Fashion Week when she posted a video captioned “Is my skirt missing a part?”

Prada described the skirt as a: “Deconstructed chevron midi-skirt.”

The brand called it sophisticated – suspended between fashion’s past and present.

The Italian fashion house’s website said: “This skirt with a deconstructed silhouette features dualistic details blending masculine and feminine elements, fluidity and sartorial rigor.”

And 35 year-old Bosnian Tiktoker Kalinic gushed over how lucky she was to be able to wear this outfit.

She repeated: “I think this is iconic.”

While Kalinic was thrilled with her fashion choice – other Tiktokers were less so.

Critics called the skirt “an expensive apron”.

With others claiming Kalinic had worn the deconstructed skirt incorrectly.

Prada’s website shows models wearing the skirt differently, but the description does not insist customers wear the item a certain way.

The deconstructed skirt was layered over a £2,650 embroidered white linen Prada skirt.

The look was paired with a £1,790 cashmere cardigan and a £3,300 navy blue coat.

The Tiktoker finished off her outfit with some £1,020 satin ballet shoes, a £2,400 white leather bag, and a pair of pink rimmed Prada sunglasses – retailing at Selfridges for £437.

The total cost of the outfit amounted to an eye watering £12,977.
