After a four-year absence, the monthly Makers Market event returns to Spinningfields Square and promises “something for everyone”.
Manchester’s riverside premium leisure district was transformed into a warm and bustling market square with over 50 stalls showcasing handcrafted goods.
Mancunian bakers, crafters, designers and collectors set up their stalls in Spinningfields for the first time this year as Saturday marked the first Makers Market of 2024 with five more events to follow on the third Saturday of every month until September.
Claudia Bloomfield, Head of Marketing and Events at Form Property, has been working for months with Victoria Crane and her amazing team at Makers Market to bring the event back to Manchester.
She said: “We selected April as our first Makers Market event of the year to celebrate the start of spring – it’s the perfect time to showcase the fresh creativity of our artisans right in the heart of Manchester.
“It promises to be a memorable experience with something for everyone.”
New for 2024 there is a free crafting workshop for kids who had the opportunity to decorate their own butterfly sun catchers.
The Spinningfields Makers Market 2024 dates will be: 18 May, 15 June, 20 July, 17 August, 21 September.
