A report has named the ten best stadiums in the Premier League – and neither Manchester United or Manchester City have made the top three.
It’s an age-old debate – which Premier League stadium provides the best matchday experience.
And recent report by betting.com has attempted to provide the answer – ranking both Manchester clubs outside of the English best.
Man City’s Etihad Stadium is in fifth place, while Old Trafford is in eight place.
The report analysed all 20 Premier League stadiums to reveal the best and worst by sifting through online reviews, comparing the cost of a match day pint, as well as atmosphere and food ratings.

Despite Manchester being widely considered as the home of football – the report places the matchday experience at clubs including Sheffield United, Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford as better than its Northern counterparts.
Both clubs, particularly United, are well known for the atmosphere on matchday drawing in some of the biggest attendances in the league.
Yet the matchday buzz ranked the lowest amongst the top ten Premier League clubs both receiving 3.1 out of five stars.
However, despite their prestige Manchester looks to be one of the most cost-effective days out in the top flight of English football and pints are only £3 at United and £3.40 at City.
According to data, Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane topped the table with renditions of ‘Greasy Chip Butty’ propelling the Blades to the top of the atmosphere rankings.
Old Trafford is currently in need of repair and without additional funding from the Glazers, the hope of it returning to the top of the charts remains unsure.
