A Mancunian who has been travelling South and Central America has gone viral in Colombia following the Clásico Vallecaucano.
The derby match between América de Cali and Deportivo Cali at the Pascual Guerrero stadium was a full house, and the Americans won the game 3-0.
The home supporters left the stadium elated and celebrating their team’s victory, looking to continue the festivities into the early hours of the next morning.
However, the most excited individual about ‘The Red Devils’ victory was not a local but a foreign fan from Manchester.
Man Utd fan Conor Lydon went unnoticed among the crowd until he was asked to speak by a media outlet.
Lydon was asked about his thoughts on the game; however, the Brit was unable to do so with his limited Spanish. Yet, the thoughts he did provide have been largely enjoyed by the fans of ‘The People’s Passion’.
The reveller shared his love for Manchester United, with this being the reason as to why he was at the fixture supporting ‘The Red Devils’, a nickname both clubs share.
The 26-year-old kissed the American badge before exiting the interview to rapturous cheering as he looked to continue his journey around Latin America, but with a new found fame.
It was a great moment at the Pascual Guerrero stadium, displaying the growing interconnectedness of the sport.
