A stage musical set in Manchester during the Second World War premieres in the city centre this week.
Realms of Glory tells the story of residents during the Manchester Blitz at Christmas in 1940, and features songs inspired by the golden age of wartime music.
The play is written and directed by Ollie Mills and features a cast of five actors, including Alex Cosgriff and Amelia Simpson in the lead roles.
Ollie said: “It’s a really heartfelt story about two couples trying to navigate this broken world, but it’s also set mostly at Christmas so it has a lot of festive fun in it which I think is going to get a lot of people laughing.
“I’m really excited to have people get to know these characters we have created.
“We have a really phenomenal cast working really hard on this show and they are bringing these local people to life in such lovely ways.”
Realms of Glory will run from Wednesday 14 December and have its final show on Thursday 22 December at the 53two theatre on Watson Street.
Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online via Eventbrite, including discounted tickets for those currently out of work or receiving financial support.
The play has been developed by Imaginality Productions, founded last year by Ollie Mills to provide a platform for original theatre.
