The Chameleons are returning to Manchester Academy on December 17th, 22 years after their first performance to give fans the opportunity to relive their favourite gig.
Formed in Middleton in 1981, lead singer and bassist Mark Burgess has formed ChameleonsVox, the latest incarnation of The Chameleons.
ChameleonsVox now tours the world celebrating their work, but the concert in December will also include the original guitarist Reg Smithies.
Having already toured in 2022 before the release of their ‘Edge Series’, the band will return once again due to popular demand.
This performance of THE CHAMELEONS: HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS… 2022, comes a year after their four anniversary with their adored homecoming performance.
They now look to recapture the magic of another of their seminal performance as they try to recreate one of their most legendary headline sets at Manchester Academy with the full set.
This gives their admiring fans the opportunity to relive the experience or the potential for those who missed out to finally say they’ve seen the post-punk pioneering band.
The Manchester outfit went on to release six studio albums and an EP, along with many Peel sessions, live records and compilations in a career spanning four decades.
