Manchester has been named as one of the best cities to visit in the world, according to Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel list – we ventured into the streets of Manchester to get Mancunians’ opinions.
The top attractions named for Manchester include the Science and Industry Museum, the People’s History Museum, Whitworth Art Gallery and Victoria Baths.
Lonely Planet also revealed their Travel Guide to Manchester, with one rule they think travellers should follow: visit between September to December.
Their ultimate travel guide includes visiting Deansgate and the John Rylands Library in the morning, followed by lunch at Mackie Mayor food hall and dinner at 20 Stories.
