Next week’s rail strikes have been suspended following the death of The Queen.
Rail workers were due to take industrial action on Thursday 15 September and Saturday 17 September, but the strikes have now been put on hold.
RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “RMT joins the whole nation in paying its respects to Queen Elizabeth.
“We express our deepest condolences to her family, friends and the country.”
RMT workers took strike action in June, July and August over an ongoing pay dispute.
Royal Mail workers were also set to continue their 48-hour strike today but also postponed the action due to the death of The Queen, aged 96.
