The Vamps continued their Four Corners Tour in Manchester over the weekend, playing to a sold out crowd of their adoring fans.
At the beginning of the night, fans were treated to a set from New Hope Club, who are becoming increasingly popular amongst The Vamps’ fans after supporting the lads on their last 4 tours.
The trio performed originals Fixed and Permission, as well as a cover of Lewis Capaldis’ number one single Someone You Loved.
The Vamps kicked off their set list with Just My Type. The boys ran onto the stage with the same energy fans see from them on every tour, with Brad Simpson jumping all over the stage, setting the energetic tone for the rest of the night.
Brad let those in attendance know that the O2 Apollo was the very first venue they ever played, when they supported McFly on their tour, with James McVey adding that it’s his favourite venue to play.
The lads thanked the fans for allowing them to come back here, saying it was a dream of theirs to headline the venue and they felt ‘extremely lucky’ that this was their second time they’ve had the honour of doing so.
The boys performed a mixture of songs from their four albums, taking us back to the first album with Can You Dance, a fan favourite that had everyone in the room bouncing along with Brad, uniting old and new fans alike.
Much to the surprise of fans, during Waves, from their new EP Missing You, Brad took to the drums and Tristan Evans walked on stage with a bass guitar, while Connor Ball took the role of lead vocals.
Stepping out of his comfort zone, during Right Now Brad rapped Krept & Konan’s verses, something fans have never seen before from the lead singer.
Showing the love they have for their fans, Brad briefly stopped the set to encourage the gig-goers to look out for each other and enjoy the show, as bottles of water were handed out amongst the standing area after reports that multiple girls on the front row had fainted.
For their encore the boys had everyone singing along with Cheater and then stripped things right back with Brad on the piano for Missing You, that brought many fans in the venue to tears.
The last track of the night was All Night. As the song sounded the lads made sure to get everyone on their feet to enjoy what was left of the show.
The Vamps then left the stage to huge cheers and screams, showing that after six headline tours they’re still just as loved as ever.
