Manchester hip hop fans are on red alert after the announcement that Run the Jewels are returing to the city for a special date later this year.
Tickets for the duo’s gig, which takes place at the Victoria Warehouse on November 9, will go on sale at 10am tomorrow morning.
Run the Jewels are rightly regarded as one of the hottest hip hop acts in the world and their previous show at the Albert Hall – which critics across the city adored – sold out in double-quick time.
Working with leading hip hop labels like Fool’s Gold, Mass Appeal and Big Dada, the group’s singles and albums, chart all over the world and seem to be growing increasingly political.
Always delivered with style and passion, their music is best experienced live and so this headline show will be a real treat indeed.
And that’s not all because Detroit rapper Danny Brown is also coming along for the ride
After opening for Eminem’s sold out Wembley show, he signed to Warp Records where his 2016 album Atrocity Exhibition, was shortlisted for Album Of The Year by IMPALA (the independent music companies association).
Hip hop fans should make sure they get there early to catch this rising star.
It’s fair to say that Victoria Warehouse is fast gaining a reputation for hosting a selection of impressive gigs and snagging Run the Jewels is just the latest in an ongoing programme aimed at wowing the discerning Manchester music crowd.
Victoria Warehouse owner James Cohen said: “We’re incredibly excited to see Run The Jewels take to the stage at the Victoria Warehouse.
“Working with SJM and other leading promoters such as AEG and DHP, allows us to deliver a truly diverse music programme and really show off what our versatile space can do.
“This will be a memorable night and we have lots more live music to come in 2017, so watch this space.”
Tickets for the event go on sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday 16th June, priced at £32.50 + booking fee, available by clicking here.
