David Sedaris is set to send people into a giggling frenzy when he brings his tour to Manchester.
The best-selling author will take to the stage as he presents An Evening With David Sedaris at The Lowry in Salford in September.
It’s an opportunity that fans will surely jump at since Sedaris will only be appearing in four other cities during his short tour this autumn.
The only other locations he’ll be hitting are London, Edinburgh, Bristol and Brighton.
Sedaris – who was born in New York – is actually no stranger to Manchester.
He was previously met with rave reviews when he brought his show to The Lowry back in March 2014.
If that outing is anything to go by then those attending the upcoming show can expect a high amount of wit and wisdom from the humourist who has won awards for his amusing anecdotes.
Over the years Sedaris has had audiences around the world in stitches by reading extracts from his diary.
In fact, the way in which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness has earned him a reputation for being ‘a master of satire’ and one of the most observant writers alive today.
Many people will also be familiar with Sedaris’ talents thanks to his BBC Radio 4 series Meet David Sedaris.
