Europe’s largest indoor trampoline park has started a boot camp in an effort to promote fitness.
Jump Nation, based in Trafford Park, offers a series of adult and child classes for those looking to get into shape.
This year they have started a ‘Jump Camp’, which comprises of a mixture of traditional circuit training, with the added bonus of bouncing on a trampoline.
The class combines fat burning, muscle toning and cardiovascular exercises into 10 stations designed to be suitable for everyone from beginners to experts.
Cassandra Batty, fitness instructor at Jump Nation, told MM: “It’s about being able to make training a lot more fun.
“We’ve had a brilliant response from everyone that’s taken part so far and they’ve all said how challenging but enjoyable the camp is.”
Trampolining is said to be a 15 per cent more effective way to burn calories as opposed to running on a treadmill.
It also has less impact on the joints and works the core muscles of the body harder than a run.
There was also a Guinness World Record set at the park when trampoliner Hannah Bolger secured the accolade after achieving 57 straddle jumps in just 60 seconds.
Adults-only classes and general jump time for one hour starts at £8.95, and £6.95 for under sixes.
