Rugby fans can kick off the World Cup in style by watching England’s opener against Fiji with Sale Sharks boss Steve Diamond at an Old Trafford charity event raising money for children with genetic disorders.
‘Jeans for genes day’, on Friday September 18, invites everyone to wear their jeans to work or school and make a donation to transform young lives.
Given one in 25 children in the UK are born with a genetic disorder – more than 30,000 babies each year – rugby fans can make a difference alongside Diamond and former Sale, Lancashire & England captains Fran Cotton and Steve Smith.
“We are delighted to have Jeans for Genes as one of our nominated charities,” said Events In The City director Steve Kettle.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone to the opening ceremony and match on September 18 in what promises to be a special event for all attending.”
Jeans for Genes Day is celebrating its 20th year of fundraising having raised over £40million.
