Police have released images of two men they want to speak to in connection with a vicious city centre assault in which a man had part of his lip bitten off.
At around 2.30am on Sunday August 2, the 27-year-old victimwas on the dance floor of Guilty By Association night club on Stephenson Square when there was an altercation between him and two other men.
They were separated and left the club before the victim was assaulted outsid. He was wrestled to the ground before being bitten. Both men ran off towards Piccadilly.
One man is described as being described as white, of average height, slim build, in his early 20s/30s, had blonde hair and short trimmed beard. He wore a white short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
The second man was white, medium build, taller than the first man, in his early 20s/30s, had dark hair and a beard. He wore a blue suit jacket, blue v-neck t-shirt and dark trousers.
Detective Constable Mike Burns said: “This was a violent assault which has left the victim needing constructive surgery to repair the damage caused.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed either the argument inside the club or the assault outside, to call us as soon as possible.
“We have obtained images of two men from inside the club who we would like to speak to. If you recognise them, please get in touch.”
