CITY KEEN: Gaston Ramirez wants move

By Dean Wilkins

Manchester City are in pursuit of Bologna youngster Gaston Ramirez – according to FIFA agent Pablo Betancourt.

The Premier League champions are keen to sign the 21-year-old playmaker but will face competition from numerous top European clubs including Juventus.

The Uruguay international, who scored eight goals in 33 games this season, has been strongly linked with a move away from Serie A side Bologna.

"I can confirmed that Juventus and Manchester City have contacted me to show an interest," Betancourt told calciomercato.com.

"But there is especially an interesting offer from Wolfsburg and also another one from an important Spanish club.

"I think considering all the offers, the possibility that he could leave [this summer] could happen.

"I would like to point out that there are several agents working on the player but from June 1, I will have his exclusive rights."

Ramirez is reportedly keen to secure a summer transfer despite being under contract until June 2016 – alerting the attention of City who hope to bring him to the Etihad.
