Hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, including rap legend Royce Da 5'9, will perform at Sound Control on May 17.
The group consists of Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I.
The show will also feature an eight-man freestyle battle tournament from leading UK battle league Don’t Flop.
Juicy (Wiggie Smalls & Oscar Wildstyle) will perform a DJ set, while Shotty Horroh & Flexplicit will also take to the stage. The gig will be hosted by Konny Kon.
The gig will celebrate the release their hugely anticipated new album Welcome To Our House.
The group, now signed to Shady Records, formed after Joe Budden collaborated with Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9", Joell Ortiz, and Nino Bless for a track titled "Slaughterhouse" on his digital release, Halfway House.
After the track became successful they decided to form a super-group, without Nino Bless, and dedicated their group to that track.
About.com ranked Royce Da 5’9 #33 on their list of the Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987–2007) while Joell Ortiz’s 2011 album Free Agent peaked at #2 in the US Heat chart.
Joe Budden has been nominated for several MOBO and Grammy awards, and his 2003 hit Pump It Up was featured in the movie soundtrack for 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Crooked I has worked with artists such as TuPac, Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopez and Eminem over a period of 12 years and appeared on more than 50 albums.
Tickets cost £18 and doors open at 7.00pm
Welcome to Our House will be released on May 15.
