Two men injured in a huge Littleborough factory blaze are recovering after firefighters battled the incident yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the building at 1pm after plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the mill on Calderbrook Road.
Ten fire crews tackled the blaze and put it out at around 9pm – residents were warned to close their windows and doors as silos of solvent fuelled the fire.
North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said two men were injured, both had suffered burns and were taken to hospital.
One man received treatment to burns to his arm and the other was contaminated with bitumen.
