Manchester United are readying themselves for a juggernaut clash against Catalan giants Barcelona in an August friendly match.
The high-profile game will be played in Gothenburg on August 8 after completing matches in Norway, China and South Africa during their pre-season summer tours.
The Reds were destroyed in the 2009 and 2011 Champions League finals after a peerless Barca stormed their way to the trophy.
United’s chief executive David Gill said: "Manchester United against Barcelona is one of the top fixtures in world football and we are delighted to work with GotEvent to bring this match to the beautiful city of Gothenburg."
"We have a large following throughout Scandinavia and it's great that this match will form part of our preparations for the new season."
Ryan Giggs is a likely absentee as he is due to be confirmed as an over-age player in Stuart Pearce's Team GB Olympics squad.
