South Manchester Metrolink passengers are being warned to use alternative transport ahead of disruption this weekend.
Services on the line, which currently runs to St Werburgh’s Road and will be extended to East Didsbury by Summer 2013, will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday (March 3 and 4) as work takes place on the overhead lines of the extension.
Replacement buses for passengers with valid Metrolink passes or tickets will run from St Werburgh’s Road to Trafford Bar, where passengers will be able to board Metrolink services.
Services on the South Manchester line will resume from the start of service on Monday March 5.
All other Metrolink services will run as normal.
