Child sex probe: Nine men charged with sexually abusing one Rochdale girl – and bailed for up to six weeks
Nine men charged with sexually abusing one Rochdale girl have been released on bail, some until December.
The men, all of Asian and African backgrounds, were arrested in May for a string of allegations against one girl, including rape, inciting and having sex with a minor, but were released from police custody within days.
Officers charged the men yesterday and they will each be brought before magistrates over the next six weeks.
Freddy Kendakumana, 26, of Illminster, Rochdale, has been charged with three counts of rape, attempted rape and four counts of sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on November 7.
Roheez Khan, 26, of Ashfield Road, Rochdale, has been charged with ten counts of sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on the November 8.
Chola Chansa, 31, of Illminster, Rochdale, has been charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on November 9.
Ali Asghar Hussain Shah, 29, of Lyefield Walk, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on November 22.
Anjam Masood, 30, of Marne Crescent, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on November 21.
Asrar Haider, 28, of Chamber House Drive, Castleton, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on November 21.
Abdul Huk, 36, of Ouldfield Close, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on November 23.

Mohammed Rafiq, 31, of Allington, Freehold, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity and inciting sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on December 5.
Mohammed Ali, 27, of Exbury, Rochdale, has been charged with sexual activity with a child under 16. He has been bailed to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court on December 6.
The charges relate to offences committed separately against one teenage girl in the Rochdale area by different men between 2008 and 2009.
