The Tour Championship

The Fedex Cup is brought to a close in Atlanta this weekend as 30 players battle it out for a purse of eight million dollars. Three of the tournament’s previous winners are amongst the field but once again all eyes will be on Englishman, and World Number One, Luke Donald. It is hard to look past this ‘top-ten machine’ but where else can we find a bit of value?

Luke Donald EW @ 13/2 – The World Number One was narrowly beaten by a shot here last year and with four top-10 finishes in his last five events it is no surprise that the bookies have installed him as this weekend’s outright favourite.

Nick Watney EW @ 16/1 – Watney carded an incredible 63 third round on his way to tying for fourth here 12 months ago. The Californian has had a superb season including two victories and nine top-ten finishes.

Vijay Singh EW @ 40/1 – The big Fijian has not displayed his finest golf in recent years but Singh holds a very impressive record at East Lake. The 2003 winner has finished in the top-10 in four of his last five appearances at the club made famous by legend Bobby Jones.

The Manchester Punt

The Sharks look set to make it three victories on the bounce when they face Northampton at Edgeley Park on Friday night. Diamond’s men made light work of Wasps away last weekend and Dwayne Peel continues to show Warren Gatland what he’s missing.

Manchester City 2/5 to beat Everton (H)

City have been in sublime form so far this season and last week’s draw came as a huge surprise to fans all around the country. Mancini and his troops returned to winning ways with a mid-week victory in the Carling Cup and they look a banker for 3 points this weekend.

Manchester United 8/15 to beat Stoke (A)

United legend Sir Bobby Charlton admitted to being ‘stunned’ by the Red Devils’ start to the season in an interview this week. The title holders have scored 21 goals in their first five starts and look set to continue this incredible run of form.

A treble on the above yields just over 3/1.
