'EXCITING TIMES': Ben Amos is looking forward

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos believes his first-team experience at Hull City next season could be what he needs to eventually challenge David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard.

The 22-year-old will be heading to the Tigers when he returns from United’s DHL pre-season tour.

Amos signed a three-year contract with the Reds in May and believes this shows Sir Alex’s belief in him as a keeper.

He told ManUtd.com: “I'm really excited to be hopefully getting quite a lot of games under my belt this season.

"I feel like it's exactly what I need to push on to the next level."

Amos already has some experience with Steve Bruce’s Championship side after joining them on a trip to Portugal.

"It showed the club's intentions as well as mine," he explained. "You know, if the club had said they didn't see a future for me, if the manager said he didn't see a future for me, I wouldn't have signed it obviously. He's still got belief in me and I still believe I can do it so it's exciting times."
