MOSES: Chelsea confirm interest

By Dean Wilkins

Star striker Victor Moses is being chased by Chelsea after helping to keep Wigan Athletic in the Premier League.

The Champions League winner’s manager Roberto Di Matteo confirmed the club’s interest in the 21-year-old – but said a deal is yet to be agreed.

Latics’ owner Dave Whelan accused the Blues of ‘taking the mickey’ with their first offer of £4million and he claimed that a bid of £5million was rejected yesterday.

Di Matteo told Sky Sports: "[It's] something that the clubs are discussing but at the moment he is a Wigan player.

"He had a good season last season, he is young and an interesting prospect."

Moses has one year left on his contract and is yet to agree a new deal with the club.
