By Dean Wilkins

Former Bolton Wanderers striker El Hadji Diouf will not be charged with violent disorder following a brawl in a Manchester club in April.

The 31-year-old striker was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after being embroiled in a fight at the Circle Club in the city centre on April 15.

Queens Park Rangers’ defender Anton Ferdinand was also questioned about the events by Greater Manchester Police but was released without charge.

Six men were arrested after a 33-year-old man was hospitalised with head and neck injuries.

Three men are charged with affray – they are Leon Walters, 33, of Water Mews, Wayne Boucher, 41, of Bonsor Street, and Steven Martin, 41, of Shurland Gardens, all of London.

The trio will appear before Manchester magistrates on August 16.
