After days of speculation, the Stone Roses have confirmed they are to reform for two shows at Manchester's Heaton Park next summer.
The Madchester megastars - Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni - have also announced they will be playing new material.
The Roses, whose self-titled first album is widely regarded as the best debut album of all time, will also embark on a world tour.
The quartet made the announcement this afternoon at London's Soho Hotel.
A new band website - www.stoneroses.org - which features a new shot of the foursome by renowned rock photographer Pennie Smith says that tickets will go on sale for the shows on Friday at 9.30am.
