The Premier League is well and truly up-and-running now and punters are starting to get a feel for who's hot and who's not. There is always a good accumulator on offer if you look at home and away form and the lower leagues are also a good place to look for value as the bookies focus on the bigger matches, Here are some selections:
Arsenal v Blackburn - Arsenal performed with credit in the Champions league midweek and will be too strong for a poor Blackburn side.
Burton v Swindon - a Swindon team full of confidence after a win at high flying Crawley will have too much quality for Burton.
Southend v Plymouth - all pointers say home banker, Plymouth are in turmoil with no wins in eight and basically playing a youth team.
£10 treble pays £63.18
Hertha Berlin v Augsburg - Berlin had a great win in Dortmund last week and have far too much quality for a lowly Augsburg
Rochdale v Charlton Athletic - Charlton can recover from a midweek defeat and stay at the top of the table.
Tranmere Rovers v Wycombe - Wycombe are playing well but not taking their chances but at 3/1 they can give overrated Tranmere a scare.
£10 treble pays £135.67
Yeovil to beat Sheffield Wednesday at 9/5 - Sheffield are awful away and lost 5-1 in midweek.
Portsmouth to beat Hull at 5/2 - Pompey have dangerous players and Hull are continually disappointing at home. Bookies seem to have overreacted after their two wins over Peterborough and Reading.
At 11/8 Wigan Warriors can take back-to-back Super League crowns. 11/10 against the Wolves is not something which appeals with so little between the teams. Wigan have that extra experience and the players will want to send coach Michael Maguire off to Australia with another trophy.
