Sheffield Wednesday new-boy Kieran Lee is savouring the build-up to his return to Oldham Athletic ahead of tonight’s Capital One Cup clash.
The 24-year-old defender switched to Hillsborough this summer and makes an immediate return to face his former teammates in the first-round of the former League Cup competition.
And the for Manchester United Academy player – who earned four Player of the Year Awards with the Latics in 2011 – said he is relishing his return.
He said: "I had four really good years at Oldham and enjoyed my time there.
"When I saw the draw I was very happy with it and it will be good to go back and see my old teammates.
"I've no doubt it will be a tough game, I've seen Oldham play in pre-season and they have looked strong, but we believe we can go to Boundary Park and win."
Latics boss Paul Dickov said: "Sheffield Wednesday are a Championship club and will be expected to win so there will be no pressure on us.
"The game will be a really good test for ourselves as we are up against a team from a higher division and one which I think will do well in the Championship."
