Woman killed in Bolton home identified – post-mortem reveals death by strangulation

BODY FOUND: Bolton woman strangled

A woman found dead at her home in Bolton suffered fatal compression of the neck, a post-mortem examination found yesterday.

Marina Stones, 58, was killed at a home on Park Terrace and officers were called to the incident shortly before 2.40pm on June 10.

Paul Stones, 37, of the same address, was arrested and charged with murder yesterday as police continue to investigate the death.

Stones was due before Bolton Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
