Bolton Wanderers will kick-off next season in the Championship after being dramatically relegated from the Premier League after a 2-2 draw to Stoke City on the last day.
Wanderers had gone into the final game knowing that only a win would stop them joining Blackburn Rovers and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship next year.
The Trotters’ stay in the Premier League was ended after two goals from Jonathan Walters cancelled out efforts from Mark Davies and Kevin Davies to send Bolton down.
Djibril Cisse’s goal at Man City put Owen Coyle’s side back into the bottom three when they led 2-1 and Bolton’s misery was further compounded when Jamie Mackie put QPR ahead.
Walters added a second late in the second-half, giving Bolton a mountain to climb in their bid for Premier League safety.

QPR, despite the last minute defeat at champions Manchester City, survived and will play another year in the Premier League.
