GEORGIA FLYNN: Died in cycling collision

By Dean Wilkins

The family of a teenage cyclist killed near the Trafford Centre are paying tribute to their beautiful daughter.

Georgia Ellen Flynn, 18, from Flixton, was struck by a HGV on June 9 while cycling on an outer ring road of the complex and died a short time later.

The teenager, who was on her way to work at Nando's, suffered extensive injuries and emergency crews were unable to save her life.

Her family said: "Our darling Georgia 'Little Flynn', you are truly unique and beautiful inside and outside and we love you with all our hearts.

"You enriched all of our lives with your intelligence and humour. We are extremely proud of you and there are no words to explain how much you will be missed every day.

"Our lives will never be the same without you. Thank you to all involved in trying to save Georgia at the roadside, emergency services and hospital staff. Thank you also for all the heartfelt tributes made to our amazing Georgia."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741.
